Questions & ANSWERS

How do I book?

Easy, to book a session with me as your newborn, maternity or family photographer just pop your details into my contact us form and we’ll go from there.

Your session date & time is confirmed as soon as the deposit is paid and completed the session agreement. From there, we will chat by email to work out exactly what you’re after including locations, outfits and timelines. I book a limited amount of sessions per month so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

NOR or SOR? Where do You coVer?

I’m based literally, ON the river… so North or South of it doesn’t bother me too much! love taking your photographs in your beautiful homes across Perth, including Subiaco, South Perth, Applecross, Success, Cottesloe, City Beach, Scarborough, Mt Hawthorn, the Swan Valley we could even go further afield like Dunsborough, Yallingup or Margaret River (A travel fee might apply for these much further afield places). I love to go where you are – homes, beaches, hills, fields and farms. Let’s chat and work out the places that are important to you, because where you;’re happiest will be the best photo memories for your family.

Where is the best place for MY photos?

This does depend on the look & feel you are after, photographs can be in your home or outside at sunset. In-home sessions are my favourites, because I love when a little person comes back with their favourite story for you to read. It doesn’t have to be perfect or clean or even tidy if you don’t want it to be. It’s just about you and this time in your life - and life with children and newborns is rarely a tidy affair ;)

Why Sunset for outdoor sessions?

It’s called ‘Golden hour’, everything the light touches is golden and beautiful.

WhAt if my child is sick, or there’s terrible weather when our session is scheduled?

I have two children too, so I know that they sometimes get sick. We can reschedule* if they’re ill, or if the weather is terrible.

I also know that sometimes sunset is in the witching hour… It’s the best time in terms of light, and I promise that we can make it work. I have some tricks, stickers (or lollies if you like!) for making it work, and I promise you wont regret a sunset on the beach, or at your favourite park.

What should we wear?

Most of all be you, be comfortable. I’d generally say no to matchy-matchy with your family, but consider choosing a few neutrals as bases and adding pops of colour - this works beautifully. Patterns and florals can work really well together too. Avoid blacks and BIG logos if you can (despite its reputation its often not all that flattering). If you have any questions or queries, please send me photographs or ideas and we’ll work through it together. I’m here to help. A top tip would be to lay the outfits out together, and if they look ok lying on the couch and you’re happy, then I’ll be happy too. I have also written a little blog post on ‘what to wear’, and my instagram story highlights have some ideas too :)

Whats the best time for photos?

The short answer is now, don’t wait for those ‘last five kilos’ to be gone, or for the toddler to stop the tantrums it’s all part of life, and your life at this moment.

  • Newborns are at their sleepiest (my favourite) between 1-2 weeks.

  • Fresh 48’s obviously within the first few days in the hospital (or at home) - book whilst you’re still pregnant and I’ll make sure I’m available to you within those first beautiful hours.

  • Maternity shoots should be booked within the 32-36 week mark its a good time for beautiful bellies, but you’re not yet feeling too big to move.

Do you have prints?

Yes, I have access to one of Australia’s oldest and most beautiful print labs. In addition to your session images, you can order high quality print products through your private gallery - we use a neat drop ship service, so they come direct to you from the lab. Printed products usually arrive approximately 2-6 weeks from the date of your order.

Just ask me for some more details if you’d like. They have everything from frames, to hand made, hand torn prints, to beautiful customisable leather envelopes.
