I’m Samantha. You can call me Sam. I am a photographer - it’s what I’ve always (always) wanted to be.
My photographer story is not so different to so many - Dad gave me a camera for Christmas when I was 12, and then his SLR a couple of years later. He he taught me ‘the rules’ and after that I took photos of everything, people, things, places - wherever I went, I took pictures. Dad had a magical never ending supply of film, and a friendly local lab…
Fast forward many years, many cameras I'm now a mum of three. I’ve been lucky enough to live in all sorts of beautiful cities across the globe and now living here in Sydney’s colourful inner west - and I love it here. It’s bright, busy the coffee is good, the flowers are beautiful, and the friends are plentiful.
I’m a coffee drinking, flower loving, parochial Inner-Westie. I divide my time between being the family Uber - dance/hockey/ school/daycare and taking photos for local families which I love more than I love a G&T at sunset over looking Sydney.
Why am I different?
Well, because colour and patterns are my jam. If it’s brightly coloured, leopard print, has sequins and/or glitter then I’m all in. Think: Rachel Castle, Kip and Co, Jumbled online, Bonnie and Neil all my favourites.
Tell me your little person loves a bright pink & tulle dress, muddy hands, mad hair and gumboots and it’s magic.
When can we meet? I’m all about sharing the colours we see for you to have and to hold on to on your walls, albums and on your phone too. I love greens, and you know my account has been hijacked if you see a brown tone, and no greens on any of my images ever, give me all the saturated colours - all of them.
I’m funny, chatty and you wont even notice I’m taking the photos because it’ll be just like
laughing and catching up with a friend at sunset.
I’ll love your babies as much as I love my own and can’t wait to meet you and your family to capture YOUR moments.
